Lydia Lo is a research associate in the Metropolitan Housing and Communities Policy Center at the Urban Institute. Her research interests include housing instability, affordable housing, urban growth and land-use planning, gentrification, and racial equity.
Before joining Urban, Lo performed research on a Fulbright grant in Hangzhou, China; managed research and policy advocacy on slum upgrading at the Beijing nonprofit INCLUDED; and consulted on affordable housing policy for the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board. She holds a BA in political science from St. Olaf College and an MPA with a certificate in urban planning and policy from Princeton University.
