Zahra is the founder of Kuwa. As an urban planner, she is passionate about engaging communities and putting the people in the center of each process. She is a keen advocate for encouraging participation from all stakeholders at all levels of any program to foster empowerment and positive change for all. She has been educated in the United Kingdom and has worked in Nairobi, Kenya for UN-Habitat and in Bangkok, Thailand and Manila, Philippines with the Asian Coalition of Housing Rights (ACHR), whereby she worked with communities using the based savings groups as a platform to address various issues facing communities. She loves squash, tennis, zumba, swimming. Going to the movies, theater and anything cultural.
