Rosario Adapon Turvey
Dr. Rosario Adapon Turvey is Associate Professor of Sustainability Sciences, Geography and the Environment at Lakehead University in Ontario, Canada. She obtained her PhD in Geography from the University of Waterloo where she completed a Master in Applied Environmental Studies and holds a Master in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of the Philippines. Previously appointed as PhD Fellow of the United Nations University’s Institute of Advanced Studies on Sustainability, she has served as an international expert and development economist/planner for projects funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS). She has published works in peer-reviewed journals such as the Environment, Development and Sustainability, International Journal of Sustainable Society, GeoJournal, and International Journal in Diplomacy and Economy. Presently, she is a member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Social Science and Associate Editor of Sustainability Collection, Common Ground Publishing. Recently, she co-edited books on Environmental Sustainability published by John Wiley & Sons and on Intellectual, Scientific Educational Influences on Sustainability Research by IGI-Global Publishing.
