IN MEMORIAM: JOHN H. DANIELS (1926 - 2022)

It is very saddening news that the founder, Chairman Emeritus of The Daniels Corporation, Mr. John H. Daniels, has passed away peacefully in Toronto.

The World Urban Pavilion in Regent Park bears the name of “Daniels”, as a testimony to the great support that we’ve received from The Daniels Corporation. His ideas and strategies exemplified the innovative thinking necessary to continue Daniel’s Corporation’s legacy of excellence across areas of  affordable housing, urban regeneration and community cohesion. The Pavilion will continue the work of John in transforming cities to improve the quality of life, promoting diversity and creating economic and social prosperity for all.

Mr. Daniels was enthusiastic and cared deeply about the social impact in all his endeavors. He  invested his time and resources  in philanthropic  and humanitarian activities. We appreciate and remember his role to set the Pavilion on a path toward changing the world for the better.

Mr. Daniels has played an immense role in supporting universities, hospitals, public spaces, social and cultural community activities. Following in Mr. Daniels’ footsteps and passion, we believe that we must all come together to create better and sustainable cities for the world and the future generations. The World Urban Pavilion in Regent Park will honour his legacy and extraordinary role in Canada, Toronto, and Regent Park. We commend the work of such a fantastic role model for the corporate sector and city changer, globally.

We mourn the loss of Mr. John H. Daniels. He will be missed as a leader and a person. family. Our heartfelt condolences to Myrna, to his and Myrna’s families and to his colleagues at the Daniels Corporation. You are in our thoughts at this time of bereavement.
