Zainaba Ben Houmou

Zainaba Ben Houmou is a female Moroccan politician and social activist who was born in 19 June 1979 in Tata. She is a member of the Political “Popular Movement” Party since 1996, and the co-founder of the association “Without She I Would Never be a He”. By the end of 2017, she has been working in the cabinet of the ministry of culture and communication. Previously, she used to work as an advisor in the cabinet of urban planning and territorial development’s ministry from 2015 until 2017. Currently, she is enrolled in a Ph.D programme on « social reality and the impact of reformist ideas » in the faculty of Chouaib Doukkali Eljadida. Furthermore, her trainings have been focusing mainly on developing her leadership skills, as she undertook a training in “Art of Leadership Development” from the “Harvard Kennidy school of government” in 2016. Besides, she has a diploma as a “Trainer in Human Rights” in 2006, as well as a diploma in “Training of Trainers” from the “American Canadian Centre for Human Development” and a diploma in leadership from the “International Academy for Leadership" in Germany in the year 2015, the same year She was honored as a HOPE of Moroccan youth and a successful model in politics. She is a member and president of women’s association "North south for society " and also member of many Associations in the region of the South, and at the national level too, She was elected member of the executive board of the party since 2014 and vice-president of the national office of women’s party sector “Femme Harakies” since 2010 to 2018. She is a writer and since 2016 a national activist and defendant of women’s right in Morocco.
