The City We Need Now!

UN-Habitat has launched The City We Need Now! a global advocacy campaign to call to action in cities and communities on December  the 1st 2021. The campaign's objective is to turn the SDGs into action now. Cities and communities are accelerators of the SDG implementation and we need to join hands to generate more action.

The myriad of partners engaged in the WUC represents a formidable strength from the civil society, grassroots, research and academia, urban professionals, local governments, business and industries, foundations, women, children and youth groups, older persons, medias, etc. to advocate on the role of cites and communities as accelerators of the SDGs to better achieve The City We Need.

Please share the following on social medias and by email: 

-The City We Need Now! Launch Story to engage your friends and networks 

-Follow and Like #TheCityWeNeed posts on Twitter @URBANCAMPAIGN @unhabitatworldurbancampaign (Facebook) and Worldurbancampaign (Instagram) 

-Promote #TheCityWeNeed @URBANCAMPAIGN on your accounts using social media frames and promote your key messages, Urban Thinkers Campuses and WUC events. 

TOOLKIT/TRELLO 

-Consult and share The City We Need Now! TOOLKIT 

-Use the communication Trello board (HERE) with ready-made posting and materials 

JOIN REGIONAL CAMPAIGNS 

-Engage in #TheCityWeNeed Now! regional campaigns in Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and Americas. 

-Participate in upcoming regional consultations on 15 December 2021 [Zoom calls in Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East+Arab States, Europe+CIS, Americas ] to bring together more organizations that have expressed their interest in the regional campaigns. 

-Participate in the call for expressions of interest before 13 December 2021 midnight (GMT) (HERE)

Participate in upcoming Urban Thinkers Campuses and check events on the WUC website.
