International Women's Day
International Women's Day
March 8th, 2021
This year’s theme, Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world, celebrates women and girls across the world in shaping a more equal future at this time of crisis. Women's leadership in trans-national, national, regional, provincial and local governments is essential to build a sustainable urban future and chart a way forward for the post-COVID era in terms of what that might mean for women's equality.
In order to raise awareness for gender parity and to strengthen women and girl’s voices for equality and empowerment in an urbanizing world, UEF is seeking inspirational and supportive messages on women and leadership in cities and communities that demonstrate how they are making a difference and changing the local landscape. Learn more about
UEF's Call For Action.

Feminist Recovery
Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE) is a federal department of Canada that works to advance equality for women by focusing on women's economic security and prosperity, women's leadership and democratic participation and ending gender-based violence.
WAGE or previously known as Status of Women Canada is inviting everyone to "pledge to advance gender equality and support an inclusive recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic by using
#FeministRecovery on your social media accounts. An inclusive recovery offers the opportunity to advance gender equality and provide economic and social stability for all Canadians."
