Larry Law

  • Architect, CEO & Founder, Living Water Resorts, Canada

Larry Law, an architect by training, has led since 1988 his group of companies to build over 3,000 homes in Canada. One of his signature projects is the Cornell community he developed in Markham in 1997 as a master developer. The project consists of 1,200 acres of land and 10,000 homes for 40,000 residents. His vision at the time was to turn Cornell into a “new urbanist” community.

Since 1992, Larry has focused his energy and investments in Living Water Resorts (formerly known as Cranberry Resort), Collingwood, Ontario. Through Living Water Resorts, he envisions to create a fun and caring community for his staff, customers, and the local community. He strongly believes that it’s the people who can help make the difference. This explains why he wants to invest in people and in the community. He does so by first committing himself as a “servant leader” and by treating his business as a mission.

With all these endeavours and ongoing leadership training, Larry hopes his staff team members would see themselves “not only cutting stone, or simply making a buck, but helping to build a cathedral”. In other words, they see themselves making a difference in other people’s lives, and being a contributing member of the company and the community.

In retrospect, for the last 30 years, Larry’s career journey has evolved from an award-winning home builder to a passionate community builder - using his successful business and the blessings showered upon him to help build up more people and to glorify God.
