Urban Economy Forum - Summer School

Goals

  1. The overarching goal of the Summer School is to enable participants to adopt creative and practical approaches to support achieving sustainable development goals in their cities and towns.
  2. Initiate a campaign for sustainable development that will lead to raising awareness on implementing SDGs at the local level.
  3.  Provide a deep understanding of sustainable urban resources; based on subjects such as institutional, environmental, economic, spatial, cultural, and social.
  4. Train experts and enable them to understand and recognize the fundamental and untapped urban resources to strengthen urban economy.
  5. Connect various pilot projects that are engaged in urban development and run by experts from different areas and various countries in order to make a synergy and strengthen them.

      6. Provide a platform for experts from various academic backgrounds and city managers to come together and work as a group to facilitate teamwork under the umbrella of Urban Economy Forum. This will enable best practices on sustainable urban development to be presented at the annual conference of UEF, held virtually on October 4th and 5th, 2021.

     7. Connect with different city level projects in countries around the world and linking them to Urban Economy Forum.
